You add them to your compost heap along with materials that contain high nitrogen levels.
Adding bulking agents to your compost acts as a biofilter and absorbs bad odours. As well as absorbing moisture, they are ideal for use with green materials. Nitrogen-rich materials compost down very quickly, leaving very little behind! By adding bulking materials to the compost, your pile will be more substantial when the composting process is finished.
